Careers

Help build the operating layer of field services.

PestRouting is a small, senior team working with pest control operators across the US and Canada. We are hiring deliberately — the right person in the right seat compounds more than five quick hires.

How we work

Four principles that are more than a culture deck. They drive how we staff, what we ship, and how we say no to work that does not fit.

Remote-first, ops-literate

We work asynchronously across time zones, but we hire people who can read a dispatch screen, not just a Jira ticket. Every role stays close to the reality in the field.

Ship weekly, measure monthly

Short iterations on the product. Longer feedback cycles with customers. We would rather be the team that improved a route KPI than the team that shipped the most features.

Numbers over opinions

We validate routing, product, and operational decisions with data. If an idea is right, we can prove it on a real customer territory. If we cannot prove it, we hold it.

Long-term partnerships

Internally: we invest in people who want to own a domain for years, not quarters. Externally: we build for customers who want to compound improvements, not chase quick wins.

Who thrives here — and who does not

The honest filter. We would rather lose a candidate early than misplace them later.

Thrives here

  • People who see chaos and instinctively reach for a system
  • Operators and engineers who respect the reality of field work
  • Senior thinkers who can scope their own problems and defend tradeoffs
  • Candidates who enjoy having their work measured against KPIs
  • Individuals who care about being correct more than being right

Not a fit

  • Work that stays abstract without ever hitting field reality
  • “Move fast and break things” without owning the cleanup
  • Titles and ladder climbing as primary motivators
  • People who need a ticket queue to stay productive
  • Short-horizon thinking — 90-day mindsets in a long-horizon business

Open roles

We are not actively hiring against a fixed list right now — but we are always interested in exceptional field-service engineers, routing specialists, and operations minds.
